GiT Parking · a GiT solutions project

A smart garage for residential buildings

The camera reads the plate, the station in the building decides and raises the barrier — even without internet. The building manager and residents see everything on their phones, and the central platform runs every building from one place.

GiT solutions designs and installs parking systems on site. Backend2 is the development partner — we built the software: the station, the central platform and the app.

Station: garage overview — entrances, vehicles in the garage and camera events
GiT Parking app on a phone: station home screen

How it works

From a plate to a raised barrier

  1. 1

    The camera reads the plate

The ANPR camera at the entrance sends the plate, an image and the direction to the station.

  2. 2

    The station decides

It checks the owner, vehicle, parking spot and occupancy — locally, without waiting for the internet.

  3. 3

    The barrier goes up

The station sends the command to the barrier. The event goes to the central platform and the resident gets a message in the app.

In the building

Station

Runs on a server on site and controls the cameras and barriers.

  • Integration with TVT and Dahua ANPR cameras: events, plates, vehicle images (S3 or local)
  • Entry decisions by owner, vehicle, spot and occupancy
  • Barrier control and logged remote opening
  • Live cameras in the browser (WebRTC)
  • Vehicle presence, event log and overflow reports
  • Roles: administrator and building manager

On the server and the phone

Central platform and app

Runs every building and the people who use it.

  • Stations, owners, vehicles and parking spots, with fill priority
  • Opening the barrier from a phone for the administrator and building manager
  • Roles: administrator, building manager, apartment owner
  • Push notifications and entry/exit messages
  • Google and Apple sign-in, email invitations (AWS SES)
  • Changes appear on screen live, without reloading the page

Architecture

Edge + central, no compromises

The station calls home

The agent in the building connects to the central platform by itself with its station key. The central platform never enters the building’s local network.

Two-way sync

Owners, plates and parking spots share one identifier and travel both ways. The outgoing queue waits for the central platform to confirm, so nothing gets lost.

Real time

SignalR wakes the station after a change on the central platform and refreshes users’ screens, without constant polling.

Compiled package

Only the compiled application (DLL) in Docker goes to the on-site server. The source code stays with us.

  • .NET 10
  • ASP.NET Core
  • Blazor
  • PostgreSQL 16
  • SignalR
  • WebRTC · MediaMTX
  • Vue 3
  • Vuetify
  • Pinia
  • Docker
  • AWS S3 · SES
  • Firebase push
  • Android

Screens come from the real system, with names, plates and the building name blurred.

FAQ

Questions about the smart garage

Does the station work without internet?

Yes. The station in the building reads plates and decides on entry by itself. Events for the central platform wait in a queue and are sent when the connection is back — nothing is lost.

Who supplies the cameras and barriers?

The equipment is designed and installed by GiT solutions. Backend2, as the development partner, writes the software and integrates it with the TVT and Dahua ANPR cameras and the barriers on site.

Who can open the barrier from a phone?

The administrator and the building manager, from the app. Every remote opening is logged: who, when and with which note.

What does a resident see, and what does the building manager see?

An apartment owner sees their own vehicles and spots and entry/exit messages. A building manager sees only the buildings they manage. Permissions are checked on the server, not in the app.

How do the station and the central platform stay in sync?

Every change to an owner, plate or spot — on the station or on the central platform — reaches the other side within seconds. The station connects to the central platform by itself with its station key.
